Warm Home Discount – Ovo Energy

Below is the Broader Group criteria set by Ovo Energy to qualify for the Warm Home Discount. There are usually two separate criteria, so please select the first option (criteria 1), such as children getting free school meals or a person being in receipt of Pension Credit, and you will then see if you need to satisfy a secondary criteria (criteria 2) to qualify.

It is worth noting that, if you switch supplier, you might not qualify for the Warm Home Discount. There is a stipulation that you have to be supplied with electricity by the company you are applying to for the Warm Home Discount as of 13th August 2023. If you switched since then, it is unlikely you will get the Warm Home Discount for this year.

If you qualify for the Warm Home Discount, it is likely that you will need to apply for it. There is a link to the application form at the bottom of this page.

If a person living in the household is an adult and qualifies for the Warm Home Discount, but is not registered as the electricity account holder, it may be a good idea to add that person’s name to the electricity account as an additional account holder. If the person is a child, there is no need for the person to be the account holder, but can be registered on the Priority Services Register of the company, which as the name suggests, provides priority services for the household.

Information may change, so please double-check the following criteria with Ovo Energy.
